Luggage: Luggage to be packed in a soft sports bag or similar (no wheels or hard-sided bags allowed) A small backpack for inside the vehicle is recommended as this is to be stored under your seat when the vehicle is moving. Luggage to weigh no more than 17 kg backpack 5 kg.


DAY 1. Gosford - West Wyalong (D)

Travel from the Central Coast this morning to West Wyalong via the Hume Freeway to Goulburn for our luncheon stop (own expense). From Goulburn, we make our way to Yass to join the Burley Griffin Way to Temora. Our afternoon drive will take us to West Wyalong for overnight.

DAY 2. Wentworth (BD)

Crossing the Hay Plains this morning we stop at the Weethalle Silo which has been painted by the artist, Heesko. Stopping in Balranald for lunch (own expense) before we continue to Wentworth where the Darling River Joins the Mighty Murray.

DAY 3. Quorn (BLD)

Today we enter Victoria and travel through some of the best wheat country in Australia and we can see how important irrigation is to inland Australia. Visit Renmark in South Australia with its citrus, grapes and magnificent rose gardens. We follow the Murray River to Morgan, here we branch off and head toward the Flinders Ranges. Crossing the Goyder Line and see the effect of the rainfall patterns. Travel through Jamestown, the once home of R.M Williams and on through Melrose to the old rail town of Quorn for overnight.

DAY 4. Quorn - Marree (BLD)

Travel Parallel to the Old Ghan Rail line and visit some of the old rail stations and settlements along the way. Visiting Hawker, Parachilna, Leigh Creek and Farina. We arrive in Marree, which is at the junctions of the Birdsville Track and the Oodnadatta Track, 2 nights at the Oasis Cabins

DAY 5. Flight over Lake Eyre (BLD)

This morning we have arranged for a flight over Lake Eyre, marvel at the size and the surrounding country. A Truly amazing experience. (if you do not wish to take the flight, please advise at the time of booking and the price will be deducted). After your flights, we take a drive along the Oodnadatta Track to view part of Lake Eyre South and this amazing part of our country.

DAY 6. Marree - Broken Hill (BLD)

Say goodbye to Marree and make our way back to Hawker, before saying farewell to the Flinders Ranges. Visit the big tree at Orroroo and Peterborough with its 3 gauges of the railway line, We then join the Barrier Highway passing through the early railway towns of Manna Hill and Yunta before arriving in Broken Hill for overnight.

DAY 7. Broken Hill - Nyngan (BLD)

An early start this morning as we depart Broken Hill and make our way to Nyngan. The countryside changes today with sheep and goats being the main farming industry. Stopping by the river in Wilcannia for morning tea before making our way to Cobar with a lunch stop along the way. Arriving in Nyngan for our last night together.

DAY 8. Home (B)

Homeward bound today traveling though Dubbo to Merriwa, here we view another amazing silo that has been painted by Melbourne artist David Lee Pereira. Continue our homeward journey through the Upper Hunter Valley town of Denman to the Central Coast. You will then be transferred back to your home.
